Obituary of Courtney Bedell

Of Millington, age 67, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at home. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Kenneth Hoard will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm and on Friday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millington Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Courtney was born August 27, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Janet (Issacson) Bedell. He attended and graduated from Vassar High School. Courtney worked at Saginaw Steering Gear at Plant 6 for many years. He was an active member of Millington Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory, four children, Brian Bedell, Jeffery and wife, Beth Bedell, Courtney Jr., and wife, Jeanette Bedell, and Alyssa Bedell; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Deborah Temple and Karen Langley-Rosser and husband, Jerry Rosser; and brother, Jon Bedell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Bedell and two brothers, James Henry and Daymon Bedell.
