Obituary of Larry John Clear

Of Flint, age 64, whose spirit went to be with the Lord, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at home, surrounded by his loving family. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Mr. Albert Jones will officiate with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Larry was born May 17, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Thelma (Graves) Clear. He and Palma "PJ" Butler were united in marriage July 10, 1994. He was truly the beat of his wife's heart, love of her life, her happiness and very best friend. He was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather. Larry was a dedicated employee at Buick for 36 years, retiring in 2002. Left to cherish his memory is his wife PJ; five children, Scott and wife, Kelli Clear, Steven Clear and fiancee, Tamra Woods, David and wife, Denise Cook, Tina and husband, Lloyd Hodge and Dan and wife, Shawn Cook; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchild; sister, Laurel and husband, Jim Breckenridge; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his beloved dogs, Goliath, Hanna and Tea Cup Chihuahua, Parker. He was preceded in death by parents; grandparents; and one brother. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Genesys Hospice, including Sue, Michelle, Mary, Dan and Denise for the love and care given to Larry.
