Obituary of Gwendolyn Joyce Coleman

Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 10:00am, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Gwendolyn's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Friday from 10:00am to 8:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gwendolyn was born February 26, 1932, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvia and Isabelle (Dunham) Glidden. She and Max J. Coleman were united in marriage November 24, 1951, in Flint, Michigan. Sadly Max preceded her in death August 27, 2010. Gwendolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren, playing Bingo, Bunco, going to crafty chat at the Highlands, going to the casino, she was also an active member of the Highlands neighborhood watch. Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Bob Coleman, Craig (Janie) Coleman and Don (Kay) Coleman; 9 grandchildren; Jenny (Bill) Shellenberger, Christina Coleman, Greg Coleman, Rob (Clemen) Coleman, Amy Coleman, Cyle (Stacie) Coleman, John Harris, Joe (Kim) Harris, Cindy McNamara and Mike Swanson; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings; best friend, Pat Jones and all her friends at the Highlands. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Max and four siblings.
