Obituary of Wilda Hess

Of Vassar, age 79, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at her home. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Daniel Gonder will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Wilda's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Wilda was born May 5, 1933, in Caro, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest and Lena (Tedford) Barrons. She and Neil Hess were united in marriage July 14, 1951. Wilda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, sewing, crafts, gardening, baking, cooking and going to the casino. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Neil; five children; Rick (Marilyn) Hess, Jed Hess, Shelley Kischnick, Sheena (Jeff) Foster, Jan (Barb) Hess; 11 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way; sister, Nancy Kreil; many other family members and special friends. Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings; Butch, Dorothy Mullens, Darlene Wilder and Karen Hughey.
