Obituary of Donna Mae Fredricks-Shattler

Of Mt. Morris, age 82, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at Genesys Hospice Care Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Donna's family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to the Genesys Hospice Care Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Donna was born June 8, 1930, in Montrose, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Agnes (Andres) Gibson. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling to Arizona during the winter, shopping in Mexico, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching soap operas. Left to cherish her memory, sister Katherine Kozma; 10 children: Daniel, Randolph, Donald, Jr., Ruth Bieszczad, Sally Sabo, Steven (Connie), Richard, D'Anne Kettler (Andy), Dennis (Cricket) and Anthony; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Agnes Gibson, 1st husband Donald Fredricks, 2nd husband James Shattler, two sisters Ruby and Dorothy, brother Lawrence, Jr., daughter Eunice and son-in-law Eugene Bieszczad.
