Obituary of Vicki Lee Martin

Of Flushing, age 50, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will gather at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Vicki was born December 17, 1962 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Sharon (Emerick) Blaska. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1981 and worked for the Beecher School District for over 20 years. Vicki enjoyed traveling, camping, spending time with Paul Dewitt, her special friend and love of her life. She also enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. She was known for her vivacious personality and wicked sense of humor as well as her generosity as evident by the fact that she was a Gift of Life Donor.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alisha Danielle Blaska, mother, Sharon Blaska (Emerick), treasured siblings, brother, Scott Blaska and four sisters, Christy Kwiatkowski, and husband, John, Gail Holz, and husband, Steven, Lorrie Ankney, and husband, Bryce, and Brenda Ide. She also leaves behind her significant other, Paul Dewitt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vicki will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Blaska, three grandchildren; Isaiah, Angelina, and Cayden, brother-in-law, Randy Ide, sister-in-law, Helen Blaska, grandmother, Gladys Mathes, and special friend, Richard Allen.
