Obituary of Jose Apolinar Aguilar Rosas

Of Flint, age 79, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place, 1:00 pm, Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Deacon Tommy Smith will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Jose was born July 23, 1933, in Vicari de la Caracheo, Mexico the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesus and Clara (Rosas) Aguilar. He and Victoria Soto were united in marriage August 1, 1964. He served in the Mexican Military before immigrating to the United States. Jose worked for Chevy Truck and Bus until his retirement, on August 1, 1993. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Victoria; four children, Clara and husband, Andre Edwards, Daniel Aguilar, Jesus and wife, Shannon Aguilar and Victoria Aguilar; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Cruz and wife, Rosie Aguilar; sister, Trini Aguilar; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; father and mother-in-law, Jose and Josephine Gonzales and sister-in-law, Anna Marie.
