Obituary of Susan Marie Hayes

Of Mt. Morris, age 52, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at her home. The Memorial Service will take place Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the King of Glory Lutheran Church in Flushing (6012 River Rd.) Pastor Joyce Johnston will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Susan's family will receive friends at church on Saturday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to King of Glory Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at church. Susan was born July 21, 1960, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald and Dorothy (Biller) Guy. She and Bruce Hayes were united in marriage January 26, 1985, in Flushing, Michigan. Susan graduated from Mt. Morris High School Class of 1978 and attended University of Michigan - Flint. Susan worked for the Genesee County Intermediate School District for 9 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, writing and singing music, playing guitar, knitting, attending church, fishing and camping, traveling to the Upper Peninsula to Pentoga Park on Chicagon Lake. Left to cherish her memory, husband of 28 years, Bruce; two children, Andrew and Matthew Hayes; two step-children, Jennifer and Mark Hayes; two grandchildren, Hunter and Faith; two brothers, Steve (Penny) Guy and Larry (Marty) Guy; and many other family members and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dan Guy.
