Obituary of Donna M. Ford

Of Mt. Morris, age 76, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Rockwell Assisted Living. The funeral service will take place 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Donna's family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive friends from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Friday Evening, family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the March of Dimes, St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Donna was born May 4, 1936, in Detroit, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August and Olive (Sarah) Kuptz. She and Jerry Ford were united in marriage in Flint. Sadly he preceded her in death on June 21, 1994. Donna worked for the State of Michigan for many years before retiring in 1996. Donna enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, spending time with family and friends, attending church, going to her cabin up north to watch wildlife, and going to the casino with her friends and collecting dolls, and Elvis memorabilia. Left to cherish her memory, two caring daughters, Karen Butchart, Sheila Wandrie; two grandchildren, Chad Noffsinger and Jamie (Merl) Krueger; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Hayley and Kaden; two loving sons-in-law, Rick Butchart and Larry Wandrie; "special sister," Shirley Hartford; "adopted daughter," Dena; special friends, Bill (Jamie), best girl friends, Evelyn, Joy, and Karen. Donna was preceded in death by her parents August and Olive Kuptz, Ma and Dad Kline, husband Jerry, two sons Charles "Jim" and Mark Kline, grandson baby Jimmy Noffsinger.
