Obituary of Robert J. Quinn

Of Flushing, formerly of Florida, age 67, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Avalon Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Bob's family will be present at the funeral home to recieve friends on Monday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Monday evening, family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Tuesday morning, Bob will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Bob was born November 8, 1945, in Highland Park, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh and Evelyn (Little) Quinn. He and Kathleen Dryer were united in marriage April 16, 1966, in Mt. Morris. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, before receiving his honorable discharge. He would continue his career with the government working for the United State Post Office in Mt. Morris, before transfering to Florida and retiring with 22 of service in 1992. Left to cherish his memory, wife of 46 years, Kathleen; three children, Michael Quinn, Michelle Quinn and finance, Clyde Davis and Marlene and husband, Scot Bull; four grandchildren, Steven, T.J., John and Shelby; three sisters-in-law, Ellen Allen, Ann O'Brien and Darlene and husband, Dick Coulter; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Lily. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Robert II.
