Of Flint, age 57, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013. The funeral service will take place 5:00 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 5:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. John was born May 13, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Ann (Brown) King. He and Tracie Wendt were united in marriage April 8, 1983. John was a loving husband, father, brother and friend, who was always there to help others. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Tracie; three daughters, Terra and husband, Todd Breen, Kerri, and Ashlee; two grandchildren, John and Skyler; seven siblings, Carol Kinney, Stephen and wife, Terese Wiles, Jacqueline Musselman, Lois Kalanquin, Florence and husband, Dale Green, Scott and wife, Amy King and Mary and husband Robert Nurmi; sister-in-law, Judith Grose; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James King, Sr.; mother-in-law, Loretta Ribble; and brother-in-law, LaVern Kalanquin.
