Obituary of Judy Collette Gilkes

Of Flint, age 70, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Brian Robinson will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Judy's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. On Monday from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the University of Michigan Transplant Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Judy was born July 4, 1942, in Clay Center, Kansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur and Goldie (Benjamin) Dunn. She and Leroy Gilkes were united in marriage August 24, 1970, in Miami, Oklahoma. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling and camping, knitting, crocheting and arts and crafts. Left to cherish her memory, husband Leroy; five children, Roger (Donna) Webster, Danny Webster, Christine (Jeff) Horst, Kenneth Gilkes and Pamela Joslin; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two siblings, Jean (Robert) Anderson and Dean (Deb) Dunn, second mother Doris Dunn and many other family members and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Douglas Dunn.
