Obituary of Rita Kay Foster

Of Flint, age 50, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Rita was born May 30, 1962 to Rosie (Britt) of Flint and Norman Foster of Grand Blanc. She was a resident of Flint her entire life, graduating from Flint Central High School Class of 1981. Rita was a free spirited person who loved to walk and play with her dog Princess, spend time with her grandchildren and play cards. She enjoyed being in the company of friends and family. Rita always had a great story to tell. She enjoyed the time spent working in her sister's pet parlor, grooming and playing with the dogs. Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents W.D. Britt, Ruth Harding, Izetta and Charles Foster, sister Kitana "Kitty" Taylor and her cousin Kathleen Fortin. Rita will be greatly missed by her survivors, mother and father; two daughters, Roxanne Foster and Teresa Dobbs; four grandchildren; two aunts, M. Jean Turko and Mary Fortin. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services 1194 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, MI. 48458. Pastor Andy Montague will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Rita's family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.
