Obituary of Doris Ann Peplinski

Of Vassar, age 80, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Health Source Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:30 am at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, Michigan. Father John Ederer will officiate. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Monday, March 18, 2013, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. A Rosary Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Family will also receive friends on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Tuscola Township Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will be held at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church after the burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
Doris was born May 8, 1932 in Lake Leelanau, MI. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Hilda (Priest) O'Brien. Doris and Gerald Francis Peplinski were united in marriage on April 21, 1952, in Cedar, Michigan. Sadly he preceded her in death on March 10, 1999. In her free time, Doris loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and going to the casino. She also loved to sing, play the piano, and the accordian.
Left to cherish her memory are children Kenneth Peplinski, Diane Peplinski, Donna and Special friend Larry Trinklein, Gerald and wife, Fran Peplinski, Doug Peplinski, Mark Peplinski, Denise and husband,Anthony Amend, Kevin Peplinski; brothers Harold, Arthur, Dennis,; sisters Ann and Joan; grandchildren Troy and wife, Lisa, Chad and wife, Tricia, Brandon, Abbey, Joshua, Lydia, Jared, Chandler, Max, Mason, Cordell, and Matthew; great grandchildren Cash, Landon, and Olivia.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, son Wayne, son-in-law Michael Tedford, brothers Bernard, Louis, Marvin, James, Glen, Pat, and infant brother Francis.
