Of Lennon, age 92 passed away peacefully at home with family and friends, in the care of Hospice on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Thursday evening family and friends will gather for a Eagles Service at 6:00 pm by the Durand Eagles Aerie # 3851. Friday visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ann was born February 20, 1921 in Fullerton, North Dakota the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Mary (Sloup) Skoda. Ann worked at A.C. Spark Plug for 13 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of the UAW, AmVets and Durand Eagles. Ann married Harry Rye in 1960, he preceded her in death in 1974. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Jack Martin, Jim Martin and Juanita and husband, Charles Cook; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Lidia Letavis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Adam Skoda, Ray Skoda, and Joseph Skoda; and one sister, Mary Lacina.
