Obituary of Marian Kathryn Barcalow

Marian Kathryn Barcalow, age 95, went home to her Lord on March 20, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and care-givers. Marian was born May 13, 1917, to the late Howard and Tressa (England) Snyder. She married Howard D. Barcalow on July 1, 1940. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. Marian was a faithful servant of our Lord. She taught kindergarten; and she loved playing the piano, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Ronald Barcalow; her brothers, Paul Snyder and Howard Snyder; and her grandson, Ronald Morey. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Stan) Holat of Elgin, IL and Donna (Bob) Morey of Holgate, OH; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 1:00pm at the Beacon of Hope Church, 2109 West Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI. A reception will immediately follow the service.
