Obituary of Melissa Joan Rankin

Of Flint, age 20, died Monday, March 25, 2013. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Melissa's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm then from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday from 11:00 am till the time of service. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Melissa was born September 21, 1992, in Flint, the daughter of Mrs. Bonnie Boyd. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her son. Together they enjoyed going to Huckleberry Junction Playhouse Theater, Genesee County fair and the local park. Left to cherish her memory are, son Danny Arnold Jr.; mother Bonnie and step-father Terry Boyd; sister Shelby; grandma Shirley Rankin, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Richard Rankin; uncle James Rankin; and aunt Sherry Rankin.
