Obituary of Karen M. Plamondon

Of Clio, age 65, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at McLaren-Flint. Mass of Christian burial will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. Tuesday evening family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Wednesday morning, Karen will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Karen was born September 2, 1947, in Standish, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Josephine (Bootz) Darley. She and Donald Plamondon were united in marriage July 9, 1966. Karen worked for GM Truck and Bus until her retirement. She was a member of UAW # 598. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and watching the Detroit Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Andrea Plamondon; sister, LouAnn Palmer; two nieces, Cortney and husband, Greg Last and Carly and husband, Brian Ross; great nephew, Ian Gregory Last; special friends, Jill and Walt Hicks; Christy and Mark LaVene, Sister Madelyn Dolan and Clare Homans; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald Lynn Plamondon.
