Obituary of Dennis James Schmandt

Of Frankenmuth, age 64, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at home. The funeral service will take place, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville. Pastor Robert Gadeken will officiate with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Family will receive friends at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville on Wednesday, from 9:30 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the church. Dennis was born June 21, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin and Esther (Moore) Schmandt. He worked as the Zoning Director for Tuscola Township for 24 years. Left to cherish his memory is cousin and caregiver, Nancy Tewksbury; step mother Mert and family; several cousins; aunt, Irene Massoll and family; special friends, Tim Kushba, Lou Ann Haubenstricker, DJ Weiss, Alan Mossner, Dennis and Linda Babachenko, John Schlegal and family, Darwin and Maria Bierlein, his church family at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, and Pacemaker Car Club Friends; and several special neighbors, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
