Obituary of Sharon Lee Erickson

Of Frankenmuth, formerly of Vassar, age 75, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar, with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Sharon was born April 2, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Dorothy (Glave) Rose. She and Ronald Erickson were united in marriage May 14, 1960. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and gardening, Left to cherish her memory are four children, Nancy and husband, Randle Bassett, Linda and husband, Richard Windt, Matthew and wife, Leah Erickson and Daniel Erickson; seven grandchildren, Navy Lt. April and husband, Mitchell Ehrhardt, Nicholas and wife, Taren Ewing, Caleb Allard, Grace Erickson, Carrie Owensby and fiance, Vince Woelzlein, Sheana Bassett and fiance, Josh Rodammer and Cassie Bassett; three great-grandchildren, Reese and Kieran Ehrhardt and Gauge Woelzlein; two brothers, James and wife, Jean Rose and Mark and wife, Gabriel Rose; sister, Barbara and husband, Greg Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron and infant son, Ronald.
