Obituary of Lawrence Arthur Doughty

Of Clio, age 51, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at 1:30 pm in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carriage Town Ministries. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Larry was born July 13, 1961 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Marion (Steenhoven) Doughty. He and Karen Marie Campbell were united in marriage May 21, 1988. Larry worked for GM for 23 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and watching the Red Wings, Tigers and U of M. Left to cherish his memory are wife of 25 years, Karen; step-son Michael and wife, Angie Campbell; parents, Lawrence and Marion Doughty; three step sisters; one step brother; mother-in-law, Barbara Campbell; and many brothers and sisters -in-law; nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and father-in-law.
