Obituary of Stephen Lawrence Denty

Of Genesee Township, age 58, went to God's golf course in Heaven Thursday, April 11, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday April 12, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm then on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Stephen was born January 30, 1955 in Sterling, Illinois the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Merilyn (Phifer) Denty. Stephen loved spending time with his family and friends. When he had free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, gardening, putting together 3-D puzzles, and scratching lottery tickets. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Sarah Denty, Annie Bendall (Turner), Morgan Nicole Denty and Lauren Olivia Denty; grandaughter, Madalyn Smith; grandson, Nathan Bendall; parents, Merilyn and Lawrence Denty; Karen Denty; brother, Brian Denty; sisters, Terri Janowski and Cheryl Denty-Thomas; special friend, Miss Betty; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; nephew, Casey; long time companion, Delores Rouse; and his Special Aunt Ada.
