Obituary of Audrey Mae Chapman

Of Mt. Morris, age 88, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor John Bailey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Audrey's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Bethany United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Audrey was born May 31, 1924, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Verna (Clarke) Innis. She and Richard "Bud" M. Chapman were united in marriage November 12, 1943, in San Luis Obispo, California, She worked for many years at Arcade Florist, a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and served as the commissioner on the Beecher Water Board for 3 years. Audrey enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends and was an avid knitter and crochetter. Left to cherish her memory, two sons, Dale and wife Carole Chapman, Russell Chapman; four grandchildren, Jill and husband Fred Meldrum, Jennifer and husband Jerry Underwood, Eric and wife Diantha Chapman, Jessi and husband Peit Roeters; eight great- grandchildren, Kathlyn, Nolan, Carson, Kylee, Sydney, Chance, Clover and Reno; sister Marilyn Baker; many nieces and nephews including three special nieces, Lori, Karen and Lisa; special friend Ed Toulouse. Audreys family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Fostrian Court Assisted Living for the care they gave. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard "Bud", two sisters Mildred and Dorothy.
