Obituary of Lila Tippett

Of Flint, age 90, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at home. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services on Wednesday May 1, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 8:00pm. A private burial service will take place at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lila was born March 19, 1923 in Oconto, Wisconsin the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin and Laura (Noel) Mittag. She and William Tippett were united in marriage on May 22, 1943. Sadly he preceded her in death on December 24, 1988. Lila worked at K-Mart for 20 years as a sale associate. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her cherished family. She also loved her pets, crocheting, and studying the Geneology of her family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marsha Tippett; son, Bill and wife, Judy Tippett; grandchildren, Tina and husband, AJ Sharma, Becky Tippett, Laura Tippett, Eric and wife, Linnea Tippett, Jason and wife, Jeanne Tippett; great grandchildren, Ian Tippett, Reyna Sharma, Mira Sharma, Sonia Sharma, Susanna Tippett,Tyler Tippett, Hannah Tippett, Vivian Tippett and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband William. The family would like to give special thanks to McLaren Visiting Nurses, especially Tammy, Valerie, and Tami for all of their help and support.
