Obituary of Eatna Lucille Dixon

Of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the home of friends and caregivers, Robert and Brenda Davis. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church 2451 E. Mt. Morris Road Mt. Morris, Michigan. Rev. James Harvey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Lucille will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Lucille was born October 11, 1925 in Flint, Michigan. Lucille retired in 1987 from the Genesee District Library and was an active member of the Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church. She enjoyed doing many craft projects, but excelled at crocheting afghans. She and Rev. Jesse B. Moss Jr. were united in marriage July 29, 1993. He preceded her in death. Lucille and Rev. Ben H. Dixon were united in marriage on October 8, 1994 and he also preceded her in death. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Linda Dennie; four grandchildren, Andrea Sallas, Laurie and husband, John Roberts, Wendy Loisell and Donald C. Dennie II; 9 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Marion Lorraine Tremain. She was preceded in death by both parents, Harold Emerson Hendricks, (1940) and Laura Louise (Cooper) Hendricks, (1971); son, Daniel Hendricks, (1983); and brother, Francis Hendricks, (1997); husband, Rev. Jesse B. Moss, (1993); husband, Rev. Ben H. Dixon, (2000).
