Of Flint, age 78, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at the Montrose Family Worship Center at 1:00 pm. Family will receive friends at the church starting at 12:00 noon till the service at 1:00 pm.. Pastor Bob Leming will officiate. To honor Phillip's wishes cremation has already taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Phillip was born October 16, 1934 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore and Rosalie (Misuraca) Pepitone. He and Ruth Ann (Sullivan) were united in marriage on June 11, 1955 in Flint, Michigan. Phillip worked for the Flint Department of Public Works for 27 years, then at Genesee Bay Construction for 9 years. He was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge #1437, and also the Independent Order of Forester #1195. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, running his vegetable stand with his wife for the last 14 years, hunting, fishing, playing cards, especially Euchre, taking trips to the casino, going for casual drives, and spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are wife, Ruth Ann (Sullivan) Pepitone; children, Kim and husband, Derek Clevers, Pam York, Dennis and wife, Sherri Pepitone; grandchildren Donnie (Erin) York, Billy York, Amber (Ashley) Pepitone, Jacob and Aaron Pepitone; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Gavin York; brother Pete Pepitone; sister Rosalie Arbeau; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; sister; and his cat Scooby.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. R. Danish and his staff, and all the staff at the chemotherapy clinic.
