Obituary of Donna Manona Jordan

Of Vassar, age 91, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Tendercare Health Care Center of Frankenmuth. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Vassar, with private burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2:00 pm 4:00 pm and 6:00 p to 8:00 pm. On Thursday, Donna will be taken to church to lie in state from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to Tendercare of Frankenmuth or Tuscola County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Donna was born November 5, 1921, in Racine, Wisconsin the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Alta (Carr) Hanson. She and Harold Jordan were united in marriage April 21, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a longtime, active member of the First Baptist Church of Vassar. Left to cherish her memory are son, Larry Jordan; brother, Virgil Hanson; five nephews, Dr. Dale Hanson, Steven Hanson, Robert Hanson, Randall Hanson, and David Hanson; cousins, Shirley Gagnon and Erlin Birch; and special friend, Sherry Nabring. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; and brother, Evan Hanson.
