Obituary of Hannah J. Kilbourn

Of Millington, age 88, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Brag Assisted Living in Clio. The funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Pete Crawford will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Hannah's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00am until 3:00pm then from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Millington United Methodist. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Hannah was born August 6, 1924, in Clare, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dell and Laura (Mavis) Boots. Hannah graduated from Millington High School, Class of 1943. Hannah then attended Central Michigan University graduating with the Class of 1954. She and Clare W. Kilbourn were united in marriage October 08, 1960. Hannah worked as a teacher for 26 years teaching in Zilwaukee Public School District. She was a member of Millington United Methodist Church. Hannah enjoyed going to church, teaching, farming, trips to Florida, spending time with family and friends, and writing family history. Left to cherish her memory, son, Chester (Barbara) Kilbourn, two grandchildren, Christopher (Christie) Kilbourn and Cassandra (Erich) Riehl; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Brent, Briana and Danielle, sister-in-law Lila Boots and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Hannah was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 43 years Clare, three brothers Paul, Phil and Charles Boots, nephew Dell Boots, grand-nephew Charlie Boots and her sister-in-law Donna.
