Obituary of Bonnie L. Tucker

Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at home. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Oregon Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Bonnie was born October 1, 1923, in Lou Ray, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack and Eula (Wilkins) Rolett. She and J.C. Tucker were united in marriage December 27, 1941. Bonnie worked at Mott Community College as a cook for 18 years, retiring in 1986. Bonnie was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star # 474 and a member of the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and camping. Left to cherish her memory are husband of 71 years, J.C.; two sons, Tom and Pia Tucker and Rick and Kendra Tucker; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, Bill Rolett; and sister, Sarah Mauter. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack; and daughter, Judy.
