Obituary of Sally Jean Hissong

Sally (Sarah) Jean HISSONG Of Flint, age 79, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Miles Martin Funeral Home with Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating. Cremation to follow. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to St. Jude ChildrenAaas Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends 1:00pm-9:00pm Friday, 10:00am-9:00pm Saturday and 9:00am until time of service at 2:00pm Sunday. Sally was born April 17, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Alice (Hitchon) Ingram. She graduated from St. Mary High School in 1949. She and Stanley Hissong were united in marriage May 14, 1949 in Owosso, Michigan. Sally co-owned and operated the Northgate Bar from 1948-2009 in Mt. Morris Township. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda. She enjoyed bowling, Keno, hunting in Oscoda, singing Karaoke, playing the organ, whistling, canning, her dogs, crossword puzzles, dancing, spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband, Stanley Noel Hissong of Flint, children, Lyle J. of Oscoda, Noel B. (Brad) and wife Tracy of Lennon, Guy R. and wife Bethany of Manton, Stanley B. and wife Stephanie of Flint; 13 grandchildren, David, Daniel, Bradley, Patrick, Michael, Leatha Mae, Mariah, Chad, Kurtis, Karina, Aleksandra, Brittany, and Stanley A., 10 great-grandchildren, Kalvin, Elijah, Ava, Bryson, Evan, Payton, Camdyn, Colton, Autumn, and Tyler; many nieces, nephews and cousins; Special friends Ray Shack and John Mattingly. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, granddaughter Melissa and life long friend Liz Klein.
