Obituary of Ronald Irwin Morse

Of Mt. Morris, age 88, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Heritage Manor Healthcare Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene in Flint. Pastor Steve Gibson will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Saturday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and on Sunday, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On Monday morning, Ronald will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Compassionate Ministries at Flint Central Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Ronald was born April 8, 1925 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Whitman and Treasure (Dunklee) Morse. He and Helen Morse were united in marriage on March 12, 1949 in Bowling Green, Ohio. After graduating high school Ronald joined the United States Navy and then completed the General Motors Institute Apprentice Program. He worked at Ternstedt as a Tool & Die Cast Maker for 32 years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting deer and pheasant, fishing in Florida, and restoring old Chevrolet's and Ford's from the early 30's era. He also did some farming on the family farm while growing up. When not busy with all of his activities, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, Helen, and their many family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are wife, Helen Morse; children, Ralph Alan Morse and wife, Cynthia, and Jeanine Marie Morse-Ralph; grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Rachel, Bethany, Amanda and Seth;brother, LaVern Morse and wife, Janet and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin; and two sisters, Marilyn and Joyce.
