Obituary of Jerry D. Bonk

Of Mt. Morris, age 73, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place in Mont Tremblant, Quebec with burial to follow. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Wednesday, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday evening, family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made for Offering of a Mass or to the Salvation Army. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jerry was born May 27, 1940, in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Laura (Adams) Bonk. He and Evelyn Sylvester were united in marriage October 12, 1963. Jerry worked at Buick for 36 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the UAW Local # 599. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Evelyn; eleven children, Joseph Bonk, Marilynne(John) Fattal, Deborah Nathan, Linda Bonk, Diane Bonk, Daniel (Kourtnie) Bonk, John Bonk, Michael (Andrea) Bonk, Patricia Bonk, Donald Bonk, and Thomas Bonk; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Marie (Walt) Wilson; brother, Jim (Debbie) Peterson; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Caroline Veit.
