Of Mt. Morris, age 90, died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. A private funeral service is schedule for Monday, July 8, 2013. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Lois was born December 17, 1922 in Hancock, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Syndey and Alice Stocker. She and Lawrence Ploof were married in 1940.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Robert Ploof and wife, Margaret, David Ploof and wife, Linda, Judy Hetherington, Alice Serlet and husband, Paul; grandchildrenTammy Ray, Kathy Wells and Robert Ploof Jr.; great grandchildren Jon Hetherington, Jen Dameron, Lindsey and Hannah Ploof; sister,Florence Christensen; many step grandchildren; step great granchildren; step great-great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence; brothers; and sisters.
