Obituary of Andrea Newcombe

Of Mt. Morris, age 63, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Monday, June 5, 2006 at the Mt. Morris Church of Christ. Elder Garfield Cooper will officiate with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Andreaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Sunday from 9:00am to 2:00pm and again from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. On Monday morning, she will be taken to church to lie in state from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm. \ \ Andrea was born November 19, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hedaly and Dorothy (Tregilgas) Forbes. She lived in Flint most of her life with her parents and moved to California in 1959 with them. Prior to moving to California, she dated Kenneth Newcombe. Ken went to Whittier, California and the two were married July 2, 1960. Andrea worked at McLaren Regional Medical Center, babysat at her home and also helped to care for her in-laws in her home. She went back to school and graduated in 1981 and was a member of the Mt. Morris Church of Christ.\ \ Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Kenneth,\ two sons, Kenneth L. Newcombe,\ Charles R. and wife Shelia Newcombe,\ five grandchildren, Nikki, Ashlie, Andrea, Billy and Cody,\ three step-children, Trent, Travis and Trever,\ a great-grandchild, Kaitlynn,\ mother, Dorothy Forbes "Tregilgasa,\ and many friends.\ \ Andrea was preceded in death by her father, son Joey, daughter Robin Young, sister Beatrice Faust.\ \
