Obituary of Mary Margaret Mulkey

Mary Margaret Mulkey\ 1919-2006\ Age 87, of Flint, went to be with her Lord in her heavenly home on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will take place 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Burial to follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Maryas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00noon and again from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday morning from 9:00am until the time of service at 10:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary was born June 10, 1919 in Mauldin, Missouri the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed and Bessie (Prayer) Hicks. She and Rev. Earl Mulkey were united in marriage December 19, 1941. He preceded her in death March 6, 1984. Mary was a volunteer for many years at the hospital and was very faithful to her Lord. She enjoyed gardening, canning and loved to cook for her family and friends. There was anything that she had that she wouldnat give away if she thought it someone else needed help. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christina Travis of Florida, grandchildren, Cliff LaFay, Jeff LaFay and Michelle LaFay, great-grandchildren, Cliff LaFay, Jr., nephew, Fredrick and wife Judith Cregar of Fenton, great nieces and nephews, Delia, Larry, Randy, Wendy, Fred Jr. and Sherri, dear friends, Jim Soper, Nina Profitt, Jet Carpenter, and the Spencer Family. Mary was preceded in death by he parents, stepfather, Glenn Wieble, three brothers, Wesley, Rosco and Bill, and her sister, Dreatha. \
