Levesque, Lionel "Leoa age 84 of Clio died, Friday, August 4, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 10:00 am at SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church, Rev Fr. Gerald Ploof officiating, with entombment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Leoas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On Sunday evening, Leoas family and friends will gather at the funeral home for a 6:00 pm VFW Service, followed by a 7:00 pm Scripture Reading. On Monday morning, Leo will be taken to church where he will lie in state from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be considered to the SS Charles and Helena Building Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at church. \

Leo was born May 16, 1922 in Fall River, Massachusetts, the son of Alphonse and Rosanna (Hanley) Levesque. He and Marian Beers were united in marriage on November 30, 1946 in Flint. Leo served his country with the United States Army during World War II. He was awarded the Silver Star for his bravery and also his participation in the Normandy Beach Invasion on D-Day. Leo went on to work at Fisherbody Coldwater, retiring in 1979.\
