Obituary of Kenneth B. Poulson

Of Central Lake, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. A Celebration of His Life will take place 11:00 am, Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Son-in-law Nelson Graham will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Kenneth's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Kenneth was born January 24, 1925, in Boyne City, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Delia (Burch) Poulson. Kenneth worked for Goyette Mechanical for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Nadine, in their motor home with their dog. After retiring, he was known to enjoy gardening, tending to his lawn, fishing in Washington with Nelson, singing corny and silly songs, telling jokes, square dancing, boating on Torch Lake, drinking Brandy Manhattan's on special occasions, going to the movies and to the casinos and driving fast in his big cars. Kenneth was a passionate man that cared deeply about those around him. He was a patriotic, spiritual and tender hearted man that made a friend everywhere he went. Kenneth was a caregiver by nature that enjoyed going to fancy restaurants and flirting with the waitresses.
Kenneth is survived by his six children; Pamela I. (Nelson) Graham, Kenneth B. (Marilyn) Poulson Jr., Kathy L, (Chuck) Bullock, Margaret A. (Jim) Lanswerk, David C. (Monique) Runyan, Elizabeth A. Young; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, brother-in-law, Ray (Kitty) Burns and their children; sister-in-law, Norma (Chuck) Wilhelmi and their daughter Jean, special friends Phil (Jane), Sue Knight, Tim (Patty); his beloved dog Razz and many other family members and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Nadine, and wife, Irene, and two brothers, Bill and Bob.
