I remember always receiving the "birthday singing gram" from Aunt Florence; I am sure Beth, Kris and David do, too. It never failed, there she was! Also the small and very special gifts she gave to us all. As I grew up, the calls were less frequent, but it didn't matter. What mattered is that I had that very special memory that she always made that magical call to her young Godchildren. On my 36th birthday a year and a half ago, I sat down, and wrote Aunt Florence a letter and thanked her for always making our day special and never, ever forgetting us. She had that way... time could pass, but you always knew she loved you in a very special way. I think for the rest of my life, when my birthday comes around, I will have a special, happy feeling from my Aunt Florence, and everything she brought to us in life. \

There are so many things that I could say about our Aunt Punna. The first thing that comes to mind is the way she...ALWAYS....conducted herself, she was a true lady, in every aspect of her life. I can't remember ever hearing her raise her voice. She shared those qualities with my Mother, Constance D McKinley, her older sister.\
Aunt Punna understood that it's the little things in life that are really important, and will be remembered always. Once, while I was visiting her for a while in the summer, we walked to a little mall on Pierson Rd., we shopped and had a little lunch. I found an outfit, skirt and top, that I fell in love with, she put it in lay away, and paid on it a little at a time untill she got it paid for, then she sent it to me, and I was thrilled. It also taught me a lesson. Then there was the birthday cake she made for me one year, white frosting and the top was covered with little American flags on toothpics ( my birthday is on Flag Day ) then, for several yearss after that, I would get a flag or two in a birthday card, every year.\
As I said, I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, SHE WAS A VERY SPECILA LADY! I feel honored to have been her neice!

I send this to give my cousins Leonard and Diana and their children hugs, comfort and much love for their loss of a mother and grandmother. As Aunt Flo was a Great Aunt I didn't get to know her like some others may have but what I know and will always remember is that she was a "Lady" of dignity and grace. She loved to dance and she always looked her possible best, always. She was kind and when we did get to visit she made the best hostess. Doting over us to know that when we left we were satisfied and always wanted to return. Funny thing that comes to mind was that she was the first to introduce to me Red Velvet Cake!! It was one of her children's birthday and she had made that for them. We danced in the basement and ate that yummy cake!!! Diana & Leonard, you two were so wonderful in her care and making it as comfortable as possible. For that you should be very proud!!! We all know that Aunt Flo is in a better place without pain and suffering. She is with family and I know she is dancing away on a cloud up there!! My love always, Carol and Family
