We are so sorry to here that Les has reached his 8th day. The 8th day seems to come upon us so sudden, but its also the day when his new home is now ready & prepared for him with everlasting life.
We have been Les's (& Cathy's) neighbors for 35 yrs. He will be greatly missed. His absents has already been felt & always will.
Though the past few yrs. he didn't live here, he made his wkly. (sometime daily) trips to mow, work on this or that (equipment) & to check on things. I think just to be at the old home site, I know he was comfortable there & sometimes he would just set in his truck,. most likely just think of the good old days there at home.
The times spent talking or working with him will be a great loss for me. His tales of his youthful days here & how its changed, his father & how skillful he was & the days of his trucking life... I could go on forever, so I'll end now with a THANK YOU LES for sharing your life with us. We know you will do well in your new life in Eternity. Your one we hope to meet up with on our "8th day."

I knew Les through my daughter and son-in-law...he was their next-door-neighbor for years on Reid Road. He looked after my granddaughter and grandson, as if they were his own....and many times, though they never knew it, "squealed" to me (because he knew another grandparent would understand), little incidences and anecdotal things they came up with. They both thought the world of Les.
I'm sorry we didn't know earlier that he was gone.

Les was my neighbor growing up. He always let us ride our four wheelers mini bikes and go kart on his property so we had more space. He loved to share stories about his old home and always taught us tricks about wood working in his garage. He was a very grandpa like man and a pleasure to live next to. I'm sure he will be greatly missed!

We were Les' neighbors to "his old farm" for 15 years on Reid Road! He was always full of stories. He was a great grandfather figure to all of our kids, but Les, especially went back and forth with our oldest son as they shared a love for the outdoors! So sorry to hear about his passing!
