Please accept sincere condolences. I was one of Leland best friends from 1st Grade through High school graduation. I was looking forward to seeing Leland again now that I am retired from the USAF after 40 years. I am so sorry I didn't get the chance. He was one of best Kids in world and funny. There will never be another Leland. As kids we had many adventures together. I am so sorry for your family. He was a dear person. Pete Noddin

Hello Mary Lou -- It's the Alaskan crew sending along our condolences to you and your family. I just rec'd word from Maine and wanted to make sure I contacted you. Leland was an awesome person and we will remember him always. My last and most comical memory was when the "Guys" Ronald,Blaine and Leland decided to take a boat out fishing in Maine. The boat tipped all the way down and I thought they were going to sink it!!! Dad was bailing out water and the only thing they cared about was the rods and beer, of course. Absolutely hilarious! Anyway, just wanted to send a note along that I'll be thinking of you and if there is anything we can do from Alaska - please do not hesitate to ask. If you need to escape - our home is always open and Alaska is an awesome destination. I will send along an Alaskan update this winter as I always do and expect you to do the same too. HI, I read about the passing of Leland in the Bangor Daily News.(Maine) As kids, Leland and Byron and me and my 2 sisters were next door neighbors, his parents owned a small rooming house next door to us before his father died..We played together and went to school together.I have a picture that the Bangor daily news took of Leland and myself and my youngest sister walking home from school arm in arm the first day of school, i think it was Leland's first year of school. He was 2 years younger than me and a year younger than my youngest sister. I think about him and Byron often, they were part of my youth. Kathy
