Hoornaert, Louis C. age 79 of Clio died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 10:30am at SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ploof officiating, Cremation has taken place. Louisa family will receive friends from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am at the church. Memorial donations may be considered to the SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at the church. \

Louis was born May 28, 1927 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Camille and Godelieve (Selschotter) Hoornaert. He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning to Flint, Louis hired in with Buick, where he worked production. He was a member of the UAW Local #599, and enjoyed bowling and golf.\

Sister, Gabrielle OaToole of Mt. Morris; brother, Albert and wife Rheba Hoornaert of Texas;\
4 nephews, David and wife Penny OaToole, Dennis OaToole, Theron and wife Cindy OaToole, and Brian and wife Christia OaToole, and 1 niece Michelle Lansing. \

He was preceded in death by his parents.
