Obituary of Melissa Fay Mankowski

Of Clio, age 13, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Marty Guy will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \

Melissa was born April 19, 1994 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Faith (Lutz) Mankowski. She was currently in 8th grade at Mt. Morris Junior High School and loved softball, volleyball and cheerleading and she made captain of the team for this year. Melissa enjoyed life and having fun and was best at giving all she had. \

Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Don and Faith Mankowski, beloved brother, Mathew, grandparents: John and Stella Mankowski, Jack and Mary Lutz, stand-in grandma, Susie Hetzer, loving aunts and uncles,\
many dear cousins, and a million great friends.
