Obituary of Thomas H. H. Wade

Of Vassar, age 74 died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his home. Thomas was born September 19, 1933 in Detroit, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Pauline (Paye) Wade. He and Nancy Chapman were united in marriage January 22, 1955 in Detroit.\

Thomas was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the US Army.\
He retired from Detroit Edison after 42 years of service as a service repairman. \
Thomas was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, the Knights of Columbus, past member of the Vassar Rotary Club, and served as President and founding member of the Vassar Little League Organization. Thomas coached Vassar Little League and taught catechism at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. \

Surviving are his wife Nancy Wade of Vassar;\
Children; Nancy (John) Bertelsmeyer of Muskegon, Thomas (Renee) Wade of North San Juan, CA, Michael Wade of Oxford, Daniel (Cathy) Wade of Oxford, Paula (Charles) Frick of Vassar, Peter (Mindy) Wade of Flowery Branch, GA, Timothy Wade of Sherman Oaks, CA, Margaret (Daniel) Hazlett of Waterford, Richard (Claudett) Wade of Worthington, OH, Kathleen (Lawrence) McAuliff of Battle Creek, 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary, Eleanor, and Paula and brother John.\

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and sister Margaret Wade.\

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, October 22, 2007 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. Rev. Fr. Steven Killey will preside with Rite of Committal following in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Reese. Family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday and from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday. On Sunday evening family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary and Vigil Service at 6:00 pm. \
