I am so sorry to hear about the death of Thomas, known as Flowers_4u2 in our chat room. You knew he loved his family by the way he spoke of them. I know you all will miss him greatly, but remember, he is in a much better place now. You could tell he loved God, and that is a comfort to know.

November 15, 2007 ~ Dear John, Ellie, Paula and Mary, and Tom and Nancy's Children and Families: ~ We were all very saddened to hear about Tom and Nancy's passing over this last month. We send our heartfelt condolences to all of you. I now live in Lake Ridge, Virginia and my Daughter, Sheila is still in Alexandria, VA. We learned only today about the passing of both your Parents when John called. My Mother was Marguerite Wade Willis and Godmother to your Father (She was the oldest sister of your Grandfather Thomas H. Wade, II). I have many good memories of your Father and the rest of my cousins growing up. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God Bless You All, ~ Joanne Willis McManus 703-492-8929, (MsStkette2@aol.com); Sheila McManus Hanson (Ken) 703-304-6663, (SAMcManus@aol.com); Stephen McManus (Arkansas); Sean McManus (Florida);

To Nancy and her entire family- I saw the notice of Tom's death in the newspaper last week and wanted to offer condolences to you and your children and grandchildren on behalf of my sisters (Kathryn Wade Palazzolo and Suzanne Wade Frost) and myself. Our late father, John R. Wade, was Tom's uncle. It's been probably 20-25 years since we last saw the Tom Wade clan. We still remember your visit to our family cottage in Lexington many years ago with all of your children. We still talk about how well- behaved your small children were. It's unfortunate that we lost contact with your family over the years. We would have liked to have known Tom, you and your children better. Reading from his obituary, it sounds like he was a devoted husband and father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sadness. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts, prayers and Love are with you as you go through this time of heavy transition.\

I did not know Mr. Wade well, but I did, on occasion, have the opportunity to spend some holiday/vacation/festive time with him at some of your family gatherings and as a guest at his home. He was always warm and welcoming to me, had kind words to say, and in general seemed like a very positive and upbeat man. I am sure he will be sorely missed.\

We're sorry to hear of Uncle Tom's passing, and regret we couldn't make it to the service itself. He was always cheerful and a little wild. We'll all miss him.\

Nancy & family -\
Our father (Tom's Uncle) John R. Wade and mother Mary Jane Wade spoke fondly of Tom and his entire family. I remember a visit to our cottage in Lexington, MI with the entire family. Also, Aunt Marg (Wade) Willis, and Aunt Marion (Wade) McClurg told stories of Tom and his family with great love and affection. I'm sure Tom was welcomed home to his Lord for all the great things that he accomplished during his short stay on earth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. My best childhood memories in Michigan were coming to your house for the yearly Chapman reunion. I loved spending time with Uncle Tom -- he always seemed calm and had time to talk with his young God son.\
\
I know how hard it is to lose your Dad after my Dad (Uncle Denny) passed away this year. Edie and my prayers are with your family and Uncle Tom.\

Richard, Claudett and Isaac, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Richard's father. Though many have had this experience, no one will ever know exactly what you are experiencing. The joys are the wonderful memories you have had with all of your family gatherings. I will get together with you when I get back to Ohio. (I am now visiting my mother.) Much love, Michele

To all of the Wade family, I know that this is very hard to deal with. Tom was a wonderful fun loving person and that is the way I chose to remember him. At all the picnics he truly lit up the faces of every one he came in contact with. He always had a good word to say about every person. Nancy my prayers are with you, I still have many moments and miss Denny, but I know he is in a good place and Tom is there with him to talk about old times. God bless and you all are in my prayers.\

Dear Wade family, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Nancy and all of our cousins. From the stories that have been relayed to us from Aunt Paula, you are all a very strong, and caring family. My brothers and I remember coming to your home when we were young, for the family picnics and soft ball games. We send our condolences to Aunt Nancy and all the Wade Family.

Dear Nancy and Family,\
John and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you on the occasion of Tom's death.\
Nancy, you and Tom have been at the top of our prayer list ever since we learned of you serious illnesses. You are so blessed to have all of your family with you. I'm sure it's a great comfort.\
We wish we could be there with you, too, but we've pretty much given up travel these days. My arthritis problems make John very anxious about plane trips and I don't want to put him through the stress.(He's 82 now and in good health, but some things are hard on him.)\
Please know that our hearts and love are with you as well as our prayers for your comfort. I'm sure Tom is in a better place and I'm happy for him.\
Love to you all,\

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know if any of you even remember me. Our families used to fill up the front of the old church when we were there. I remember your dad had only to snap his fingers and whoever was being bad straightened up right away. We have to remember the good times. God be with you all at this time of loss.\

To the Tom Wade family. Our thoughts and with you during these sad days. We send our condolences to you and to the entire Wade family.\
The Wests, Wades and Peters families were quite a contingent in Grosse Pointe and at St. Paul's School. Some of the fondest memories of childhood are the Christmas parties at our Grandmother Paye's house on St. Clair Ave. This is where we put on talent shows for the grown-ups, ate great meals (I especially loved the ice-box cookies) and generally felt the love and comfort that only a large extended family can share. \
We have come full circle for Tom in this respect. Our maternal grandmother's maiden name was Martin and Tom is resting now at the Martin Funeral Home. May he rest in peace and may you all be consoled that your dad led a good life and was loved by many. Sorry we cannot be with you.\

To all the Wade family, And to Paula who I know the most.\
My heart is aching for all of you. Since I just went through this last week with my Mom. It is a very hard time. But we did manage to laugh remembering old times and old friends. You will always have your memories. No one can take those away. Your Dad (husband) was a very special man, a very kind and caring man. I am sure he will be missed by many. The Harms' family thoughts are with all of you. God bless you all.\
