Obituary of John Quincy Adams

Of Vassar, age 69, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his home in Vassar. John was born April 21, 1938 in Saginaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred E. and Florence J. (Rotter) Adams. John and Jacqueline K. (Conway) were united in marriage July 25, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan. \ He retired from General Motors after over 20 years of service as a journeyman machinist. \ \ Surviving are son John Quincy (Cindy) Adams IV of Vassar;\ Daughter, Jennifer Adams of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Shannonlee K. and John Q. Adams V of Vassar, Heather Hamilton of Alaska and Dylan Thomas Hamilton of Saginaw; sisters Joan (Bruce) Coggins of Saginaw and Susan (Jeff) Lockman of Traverse City; brother in law Dick Conway of Montana; nieces and nephews and special companion his golden retriever Brandon. \ \ He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Jacqueline K Adams. \ \ Funeral services will be held 12:00noon on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar burial to follow at Newton Cemetery in Arbela Township.\ \ Family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar 2:00-8:00pm on Monday, October 22, 2007 and 9:00am until time of service at 12:00 noon on Tuesday.\ \ In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Adams' Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \
