Of Flint, age 89, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 AM Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Warren Township Cemetery in Coleman, Michigan. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends 11am - 8pm Wednesday and 10am until time of service at 11am on Thursday. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\

Velma was born November 14, 1917 in Clare, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Charlotte (Seaman) Robison. She and Roy Thunberg were united in marriage in 1950. He preceded her in death.\

Velma worked for the Flint Council of Churches and was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority. \
\
Surviving are 2 sisters, Ruth Mott of Mt. Morris and Vanda Johnston of Galdwin; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.\
