Obituary of Nancy J. Wade

Of Vassar, age 76 died Monday, November 12, 2007 at her home. Nancy was born \ September 11, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie and Eleanor (Schiller) Chapman. She and Thomas H. Wade were united in marriage January 22, 1955 in Detroit. Nancy was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. \ \ Surviving are her children; Nancy (John) Bertelsmeyer of Muskegon, Thomas (Renee) Wade of North San Juan, CA, Michael Wade of Oxford, Daniel (Cathy) Wade of Oxford, Paula (Charles) Frick of Vassar, Peter (Mindy) Wade of Flowery Branch, GA, Timothy Wade of Sherman Oaks, CA, Margaret (Daniel) Hazlett of Waterford, Richard (Claudett) Wade of Worthington, OH, Kathleen (Lawrence) McAuliffe of Green Isle, MN., 27 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, sisters Jean Reisterer, Joanne Wheelock, Linda Stobaugh, Vicki Staniszewski, and brother Larry Chapman.\ \ Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Tom, her parents, and her two brothers James Chapman and Dennis Chapman. \ \ Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, November 19, 2007 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. Rev. Fr. Steven Killey will preside with Rite of Committal following in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Reese. The Wade family will greet family and friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday and from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday. On Sunday evening family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary and Vigil Service at 5:00 pm. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to St Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church Building Fund or Covenant VNA Hospice. \ \
