Of Clio, age 75, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 10:30am, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will greet friends and loved ones Tuesday from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\

James was born August 12, 1932 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Jean (Martyn) Scramlin. He and Germaine Palmer were united in marriage 1975 in Flint, Michigan. James worked for 20 years at Riverside IGA in Montrose, also at Manheim Auto Auction, retiring four years ago.\

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years Germaine Scramlin, children; James Scramlin Jr. of California, Caryn Scramlin of California, Susan Wright of California, Timothy (Gail) Palmer of Swartz Creek, 5 grandchildren; Dusti, Kimberley, Nicholas, Patrick, Robby, several cousins, nieces and nephews.\

He was preceded in death by his parents.\
