Obituary of Jesse Wallace Stadler
Age 83, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Genesys Hospice. A Memorial Service will take place, 10:00am Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Don O'Leary will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, on Sunday from 9:00am to 8:00pm, and on Monday from 9:00am until time of service. On Saturday at 4:00pm there will be a memorial service conducted by the Mt. Morris Township Fire Department. Memorial donations may be directed to the Mt. Morris Township Central Fire Department. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jesse was born October 24, 1924, in Mt. Morris the son of Wallace and Jessie (Freeman) Stadler. Jesse and Phyllis Currell were united in marriage on July 10, 1946 in Mt. Morris. He worked for Complete Auto Transit, retiring in 1987 with 29 years of service. He was a WWII Veteran with 4th Infantry Division, European Campaign and a Purple Heart Recipient. He was a member of the Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge F&AM # 535 and a charter member of the Mt. Morris Township Fire Department with 57 years of service. Jesse leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years Phyllis Stadler, five children; Ralph (Charlene) Stadler of Clio, Ray (Cathy) Stadler of Greenbush, Ron Stadler of Oscoda, Rick Stadler of Wyoming, Kim (David) Chaney of Indiana, ten grandchildren; Mark (Ellen) Stadler of Burton, Dawn (John) Patterson of Mt. Morris, Keri Stadler of Chicago, Justin Stadler of Grand Blanc, David Stadler of Sault St. Marie, Amelia Stadler of Tawas, Sabrina Stadler of Swartz Creek, Jessica Stadler of Swartz Creek, Jason Stadler of Flint, Kelsie Chaney of Indiana, 15 great-grandchildren, one brother Wayne (Judy) Stadler of Colorado, three sisters Mildred (Mike) Crame of Mecosta, Mabel (Ray) Cloutier of Clio, Kathleen (Gerald) Stadler of Clio. Many nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents.
