Of Flushing, age 91, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. The funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dave Hintz will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. JohnAaas family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:00 noon.
John was born June 19, 1916 in Illinois the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Bertha (Hubbard) Waters. He and Ethel V. Leach were united in marriage April 15, 1955. She preceded him in death May 9, 2000. John proudly served his country with the US Army during WWII. He reitred from GM as an inspector in 1981 with 25 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local #581, the Krapohl Senoir Center and a former member of the Flushing Senior Center.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Debra Jones and fiance Jeff Jones of Flint,
Barbara and husband Phil Adair of Waterford,
two grandchildren; Josh Jones and Christina Adair and fiance Derek Brierly.
John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ethel and son, John Alan.
